One of my favorite memories of Grant is on his birthday, I drove up to see him and we rode all around the big town of Licking! He was so proud of his town, friends and his life style. To Grants family, My heart breaks for you! At the same time i feel so honored to say that i knew you years ago and my life is forever touched by your strength and courage in your devotion to helping others through your life experiences. Oh what a awsome family you are!! I met Grant when he was in the 6th grade. I was a Teachers Aide for about 6 mo. at Licking. I remember him as the cutest, nicest, most polite young man, with a very loving heart, all the time not knowing that he was sick or infected. I have a daughter Becky who was in the 4th grade at that time. She remembers Grant as a boy with the most beautiful blue eyes and a big heart. When we did discover that Grant was sick we were in shock. It just didn't seem fair! Strange as it is, we learned of Grants death through a grieving group our daughter Michelle joined when she suddenly lost our grandson Cody to a trucking accident. May God bless and keep the Lewis family as there can't be any pain as deep as the pain of loosing our children. Forever in Love and Prayer, Jim and Bettie Williams

Grant, Today is a day of remembrance for those who have lived the nightmare of this horrible disease. Thank you for all the lives and heartaches you spared to so many others. You never saw yourself as a hero, but you were/are to so many. You were an angel before you made your flight to earth. An angel with a mission from God to save lives and teach. You completed that mission and returned "Home" to get your wings. Thank you for choosing my to be a part of your life and mission. Your warriors here will continue for you. Rest now, you taught us all well. Like you did so many times before, never forgetting anyone, tell your little sister Ashton "Happy 16th Birthday" today. We all miss you so very much. I love you this ( ) much! Love, Mom
